Basic Horseback Riding Lessons
We are offering these lessons at a reduced rate to our PSP families of $10.00 per half an hour lesson. Only one person per lesson, please. These lessons are scheduled by appointment only and can be made by calling the phone number below.
Our Requirements:
All riders must sign a liability waiver
Every family must abide by PSP Sports’ Rules for enrollment
All riders must wear a helmet. We have helmets you may borrow, but if you do not want to share, you must provide your own.
Riders must be over the age of eight, unless prior arrangements are made.
Weight limit, all riders must be under 200lb.
Parents must stay with participants.
Riders must wear jeans, a t-shirt, and boots or tennis shoes.

Choose a Class
Note: The topics under each category are a guideline and may not all be covered in each class. It depends on what you want to learn and how may questions your group may have about each topic. Schedule a class to reserve the current price. Prices are subject to change at any time and without notice.
Basic Classes
Time: 45 minutes to 1 hour
Price: $4 per person minimum people 6 or 1-5 persons $24 total
Horse Care – Included Topics: feeding, watering, shelters, cleaning, grooming, and tack.
Goat Care – Included Topics: feeding, watering, shelters, cleaning, grooming, and hoof trimming.
Chicken and Guinea Fowl Care – Included Topics: feeding, watering, housing, cleaning, and wing clipping.
Chick Care – Included Topics: feeding, watering, housing, cleaning, heating, and caring for weak chicks.
Guinea Pig Care and Small Rodents – Included Topics: feeding, watering, housing, cleaning, and interacting with your pet.
Mealworm Care – Included Topics: feeding, housing, cleaning, bedding, life stages, and breeding.
Dog Grooming – Included Topics: tools and equipment, brushing, bathing, and drying your dog.
Incubating Chicken Eggs – Included Topics: using an incubator, making your own incubator, and helping a weak chick get out of its egg.
In-depth Classes
Time: 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours
Price: $8 per person minimum people 6 or 1-5 persons $48 total
Horse Care – Included Topics: feeding, watering, shelters, cleaning, grooming, tack, colic, psyllium, vaccines, worming a horse, and a demonstration on how to ride.
Goat Care – Included Topics: feeding, watering, shelters, cleaning, grooming, hoof trimming, breeding, bottle feeding, milking, vaccines, and worming a goat.
Chicken and Guinea Fowl Care – Included Topics: feeding, watering, housing, cleaning, getting the most eggs from your birds, wing clipping, dealing with broody hens, free range birds, roosters, incubation, and adding new birds to your flock.
Dog Grooming – Included Topics: tools and equipment, brushing, bathing, drying, nail trimming, clipping your dog, and color/dying your dog.
Short Combo Classes
Time: 45 minutes to 1 hour
Price: $4 per person minimum people 6 or 1-5 persons $24 total
For the Short Combo Classes you choose any topics you want to learn about from any of the above classes. Make a list with the topics and put the priority topics at the top of the list. I will cover the list, in order, until we run out of time. The appropriate number of items per class would be 4-10 topics, depending on how in-depth you want to learn about them.
Long Combo Classes
Time: 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours
Price: $8 per person minimum people 6 or 1-5 persons $48 total
For the Long Combo Classes you choose any topics you want to learn about from any of the above classes. Make a list with the topics and put the priority topics at the top. I will cover the list, in order, until we run out of time. The appropriate number of items per class would be 8-20 topics, depending on how in-depth you want to learn about them.
