Who can take our classes

God’s Creatures is pleased to offer these three programs to Private Christina Homeschooling Families; Horseback Ridding Lessons, Ranch Hand Training, Creature Care Classes.  We offer these three programs through the non profit organization PSP Sports and More.  In order to participate in any of these programs you must read and abide by PSP Sports and More Statement of Faith, Home Education Philosophy, Code of Conduct, and Dress Code.  Please click this link to view PSP Sports and More webstie

These are some of the things that we teach in our horseback riding lessons.  If you love horses or are considering getting a horse for your family, this will give you information about what it is like to ride and own horses.  A safe, fun, Christian environment to learn in!  We are offering these lessons at a reduced rate to our PSP families. Only one person per lesson, please. These lessons are scheduled by appointment only. For more information click on this link!

Our Requirements for Horseback Riding Lessons

All riders must sign a liability waiver

Every family must abide by PSP Sports’ Rules for enrollment

All riders must wear a helmet. We have helmets you may borrow, but if you do not want to share, you must provide your own.

Riders must be over the age of eight, unless prior arrangements are made.

Weight limit, all riders must be under 150 lb.

Parents must stay with participants.

Riders and observers must wear long pants/jeans, a t-shirt, and boots or tennis shoes (no open shoes allowed).

Ranch Hands

About our Ranch Hand Class

Learn how to work with and care for farm animals from grooming, diet, to cleaning up after them.  This is a physical hands on class recommended for adults and children over the age of 11 years.  Costs are small and sometimes free.

Our Requirements for Ranch Hands

All participants must sign a liability waiver

Must abide by PSP Sports’ Rules for enrollment

Must be 12 years or older

Parents must stay with minor participants.

Participants and observers must wear long pants/jeans, a shirt long or short sleeved, and boots or tennis shoes (no open shoes allowed).

Private Creature Care Classes

About our Creature Care Classes

Our Creature Care classes are the perfect thing for families or groups to come and lean about God’s creatures!  Weather you just love being around animals or if you are considering adopting an animal and need more info on how to care for them, this is the perfect class for you!  You get to choose what you want to lean by selecting one of our two classes or you can create your own class.  Your group will be taken on a tour from animal to animal pen and learn about them at each stop.

Choose a topic

Note: The topics under each category are a guideline and may not all be covered in each class.  It depends on what you want to learn and how may questions your group may have about each topic. Schedule a class to reserve the current price.  Prices are subject to change at any time and without notice.

Basic Classes

Time: 45 minutes to 1 hour

Cost: $5 per person with a minimum of 6 people, or $30 for groups with less than 6 people.

Horse Care – Included Topics: feeding, watering, shelters, cleaning, grooming, and tack.

Goat Care – Included Topics: feeding, watering, shelters, cleaning, grooming, and hoof trimming.

Chicken Care – Included Topics: feeding, watering, housing, cleaning, and wing clipping.

Chickens living together peacefully

Chick Care – Included Topics: feeding, watering, housing, cleaning, heating, and caring for weak chicks.

Mealworm Care – Included Topics: feeding, housing, cleaning, bedding, life stages, and breeding.

Dog Grooming – Included Topics: tools and equipment, brushing, bathing, and drying your dog.

Incubating Chicken Eggs – Included Topics: using an incubator, making your own incubator, and helping a weak chick get out of its egg.

 

In-depth Classe

Time: 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours

Price: $10 per person with a minimum of 6 people, or $60 for groups with less than 6 people.

Horse CareIncluded Topics: feeding, watering, shelters, cleaning, grooming, tack, colic, psyllium, vaccines, worming a horse, and a demonstration on how to ride.

Goat CareIncluded Topics: feeding, watering, shelters, cleaning, grooming, hoof trimming, breeding, bottle feeding, milking, vaccines, and worming a goat.

Chicken CareIncluded Topics: feeding, watering, housing, cleaning, getting the most eggs from your birds, wing clipping, dealing with broody hens, free range birds, roosters, incubation, and adding new birds to your flock.

Dog GroomingIncluded Topics: tools and equipment, brushing, bathing, about creative grooming, why nail care is important, ear care, learn about dog breeds.

 

Create your own – Short Combo Classe

Time: 45 minutes to 1 hour

Price: $5 per person with a minimum of 6 people, or $30 for groups with less than 6 people.

For the Short Combo Classes you choose any topics you want to learn about from any of the above classes.  Make a list with the topics and put the priority topics at the top of the list.  I will cover the list, in order, until we run out of time.  The appropriate number of items per class would be 4-10 topics, depending on how in-depth you want to learn about them.

 

Create your own – Long Combo Classe

Time: 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours

Cost: $10 per person with a minimum of 6 people, or $60 for groups with less than 6 people.

For the Long Combo Classes you choose any topics you want to learn about from any of the above classes.  Make a list with the topics and put the priority topics at the top.  I will cover the list, in order, until we run out of time.  The appropriate number of items per class would be 8-20 topics, depending on how in-depth you want to learn about them.
